FOUNDING PHILOSOPHY
“Africa doesn't need more theories. Africa needs more delivery.”
Dr. Muhammed Sackor co-founded FORGE Africa Institute in 2015 with a simple but radical conviction: that Africa's transformation gap is not a gap of vision, capital, or resources—it is a gap of delivery capability.
Having witnessed firsthand how brilliant infrastructure plans stalled, how abundant mineral wealth failed to translate into prosperity, and how well-designed policies never moved from paper to practice, Dr. Sackor recognized that Africa's most critical shortage was not financial capital but human and institutional capability.
His founding insight shaped everything FORGE became: an institution that refuses to conduct “ivory tower” research disconnected from practice; that anchors every training program in real projects and real data; and that measures success not by papers published, but by leaders deployed, projects delivered, and outcomes achieved.

The FORGE Legacy
Under Dr. Sackor's leadership, FORGE has trained leaders across multiple African countries, established strategic partnerships with Africa's leading infrastructure and natural resources organizations, and created the Africa Delivery Index—the continent's first comprehensive measurement of delivery capability. But he measures FORGE's success by a different metric: the infrastructure projects delivered, the resource governance frameworks implemented, and the communities transformed by FORGE-trained leaders.
